Read! Read! Read!
01. The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien: I wonder how I would feel toward the book if I haven't seen
the movie first.
02. The Two Towers by J.R.R. Tolkien: Maybe the reason I'm not a crazy fan of Tolkien because of the thousands
of battles in the book which bored me after the 100th battle.
03. The Book of Alchemy by Francis Melville: The most useless book ever.
04. Charmed Life by Diana Wynne Jones: Brother and sister with magic except the brother is more powerful but the
sister is wicked!
05. The Liars' Club by Mary Karr: A memoir of the author herself of her family. Good book, nevertheless.
06. Acorna by Anne McCaffrey and Magaret Ball: The space miners found a little unicorn girl and what will they
do with her?
07. Around the World in Eighty Days by Jules Verne: A classic adventure book of travelling, making new friends,
catching trains/boats/carriages, loosing touch with people, and prizes!
08. The Return of the King by J.R.R. Tolkien: There is no use reading the first two books and quit at the third one.
09. Harry Potter and the Prinsoner of Azkaban by J.K. Rowling: I've lost count of how many time I've read this book, but
it is my favorite book out of the whole series (not counting book 6 and 7) because they're not out yet.
10. The Time Machine by H.G.Wells: What lies ahead of us in the future?
11. Newton's Cannons by J. Gregory Keyes: I got so confused. Read it and tell me what it's about.
12. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen: Hated it when I was in high school, I didn't even finish the book. Now? I like it
a lot because it's smart and intriguing.
13. Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury: Brave-New-World-ish and 1984-ish but this time about the importance of books and their
power to communicate great ideas and thoughts. Books = very dangerous weapons. If not in that term then books are the equivalent of
the sharpening stone to sharpen your swords (i.e. your minds). The more reason to read.
14. James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dalh: I didn't know this was a banned book. But what's with the British and orphans
with cruel relatives? Little James got his revenge, way too graphic for little kids, on his evil aunts after a trip with bugs.
15. Cry, the Beloved Country by Alan Paton: Africa and its colonial time. A very good book, but full of sorrows and situations
which you are stuck and have no clear directions to move.
16. Magic casement by Dave Duncan: What will the poor stable boy and the little Princess do when their poor kingdom is at stake?
